The Balikbayan Box service provides Door to Door services for our customers all over Japan to the Philippines.
Once we received your Balikbayan Box, it will be sent to the warehouse in Yokohama for inspection. For the next step, it will be sent to Yokohama customs for export declaration and sent to Manila by ship. Once your Balikbayan Box arrives safely in Manila, it will be checked in domestic customs and delivered to the final destination.
Approximate duration of delivery are below.
※Delivery could be delayed due to the export declaration process or the delayed shipping schedule caused by natural disasters.
※Please be aware that the exact date of delivery to the final destination cannot be guaranteed.
If you want to send your box to Visayas or Mindanao region, this service is perfect.
The original service to Visayas or Mindanao region is delivered from Manila to a nearby port at the final destination by ship, but the Sea & Air provides air service from Manila.
With this service your package will be delivered to the Visayas and Mindanao in 2-3 weeks, the same time as it usually takes to go to Manila.

STEP.1Order your Balikbayan box
Please call our office and order your box. Let us know the service you want, box size, number of units, and preferred date of delivery for your box. Please advice your name, address and contact number at the same time.
You can also order directly from the Order Form above.

STEP.2Ready to deliver
We will send to the Balikbayan Box, packing list, sending manual and invoice for the payment to your address. Please read the sending manual, and prepare your box to send.
Once you are ready to send your box, please contact us and tell us your preferred date for pick up.
For direct pick up in the covered area, you can pay our staff when we pick up your box. For other areas (all over Japan), please use the invoice and pay through your local convenience store or post office. You can also transfer the money to our bank account directly.
STEP.5Preparation to send to the Philippines
Once your box arrives at our warehouse, we will start to prepare it immediately for export. If there are any damages outside of your box, we will repair it before we put it into the container ship.
STEP.6Delivery to the local area and final destination
Please check to see if there’s any damage once your box arrived. If there’s no problem, please sign the document from delivery staff to complete the transaction.
We do our best to carry your box, but there’s always the possibility of damage especiallly if the box is very heavy. To avoid the damage, please make sure to pack properly, especially the fragile items. Please do not change the original size of the box as this could result in damage. Changing the box size could incur additional charges.
CASE.2Products we can’t handle
Certain products are not allowed for export for both Japan and the Philippines.Please check the items below for your reference.
You cannot send rice using our service since it has to be quarantined at the Plant Protection Station due to the export regulations of Japan.
Electronics, medicines purchased by prescription, transformers, electric tools and water pumps have to meet the regulation of export trade control orders by METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry) of Japan. You need to get the approval documents from the manufacturer to send the items mentioned. Computers and game machines also have limits and are monitored.
The main purpose of our service is to help individuals share happiness with their families and friends who live in the Philippines. Please inform us if your purpose is for business. If you have any concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to contact our customer support.
The packing list is necessary for customs for the export declaration. Shipper, consignee information and the units, the value of the items packed must be checked properly and labeled on your box. If there is incomplete information on your list, your box cannot be exported. Please be aware that if there is false information found in the customs declaration, the shipper must take responsibility.
Please make your payment at a convinience strore or a post office using the invoice
we sent with your box before the date of pick up. You can also transfer the money to our bank account (bank account details are written in the sending manual) directly for your payment.
In case the name of the shipper on the packing list and the name, address and contact number of the person who made the payment don’t match, we cannot complete your payment.
If your box arrives in the Philippines and the payment is not complete, we will charge 1,000 JPY per month for the storage fee. If the payment hasn’t been made even after 3 months have passed, we will consider that the shipper has abandoned the ownership of the box.
